Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Farouq Graced GBV Media Campaign in Abuja

The Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, FMHDSD, Sadiya Farouq was one of the guests who graced and lighted up in orange the 16 days activism against Gender based violence media campaign held on Thursday in Abuja.

The program was hosted by the honourable minister of women affairs Dame Pauline Tallen.

H.M Sadiya Farouq in her relentless efforts to curtailing all sorts of violence against women and girls has made fighting sexual and gender based violence a priority by charging the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) to step up their efforts on the mandate given to them by the Federal government and Nigerians at large.

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence is an international campaign to challenge violence against women and girls. The campaign runs every year from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day.
