Desperate 25-year-old Man Contracts ‘Assassin’ With N110,000 To Kill Own Father

A desperate 25-year-old Man, Abubakar Mohammed Buba has been arrested by operatives of Niger state police command for allegedly conspiring to kill his father, Alhaji Mohammed Buba.
  
Spokesperson for Niger State Police Command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, in a statement, yesterday, said the suspect was arrested on December 29, based on credible intelligence.
  
According to him, police operatives attached to Chanchaga Division in Bosso Local Council of the state arrested Abubakar Mohammed Buba of Gidan Madara area in Chanchaga, Minna.
  
The suspect, he said, was arrested for criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide of his father, Alhaji Mohammed Buba, aged 52. The statement added that the deceased was allegedly attacked and stabbed to death in his residence at Korokpan, Paikoro Local Council of the state on October 13, 2021.
 
It was learnt that, during interrogation, the suspect confessed to having conspired with Aliyu Mohammed, 26, of Chanchaga area of Minna, who is at large and killed the deceased.
   
It was also gathered that the suspect led police operatives to Tagwai dam village where the body of the deceased was dumped after being killed, cut in pieces and packed in a sack.
   
According to the police, the suspect also confessed to have contracted Aliyu Mohammed for a sum of N110, 000.00 in which he paid a deposit of N50,000.00 and paid balance  of  N60,000.00 after selling some of the deceased’s property to raise the balance.
   
The statement explained that the case is under investigation at SCID, Minna,while efforts are on to arrest the fleeing Aliyu Mohammed. It stressed that the suspect would be arraigned in court for prosecution immediately after police investigation.
