Despite Victory Over Guinea Bissau, Eguavoen Points Out Eagles’ ‘Weak Point’

Super Eagles interim manager, Augustine Eguavoen has spoken on the weak point of his boys despite yesterday’s victory over Guinea Bissau in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.

The 56-year-old tactician watched as Nigeria defeated Guinea-Bissau 2-0 in their final Group D fixture.

Eguavoen left Taiwo Awoniyi, Samuel Chukwueze, and Joe Aribo entirely out of the match and only introduced Moses Simon from the bench.

Two goals from Umar Sadiq and William Troost-Ekong respectively gave Super Eagles the victory against their opponents, Guinea-Bissau.

But Eguavoen is still cool with the Super Eagles’ attack, especially in finishing off created opportunities against an opponent.

“We always create chances,” Eguavoen told ESPN.

“The problem is finishing them off. That is what we have to keep working on as we go further.”

The win over Guinea-Bissau means Nigeria became the only team at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon to have won all their three group stage matches.
