As agitation against the newly announced Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire enters day four, the protest took another turn on Tuesday, as masquerade spotted at campus gate.
The masquerade was seen praying for the progress of the city and also raining courses against the perceived enemies of the ancient city of Ile-Ife.
Vreporters reported that, the management yesterday in a release urged the influential leaders in Ile-Ife to prevail on aggrieved party to sheathe their sword for peace to rain in the acclaimed African most beautiful campus and its environs.
Recall that some aggrieved indigenes of Ile-Ife after the announcement of Professor Bamire as the new Vice Chancellor of the Federal government owned institution trooped out in anger to express their displeasure over his emergence claiming that, the Ile-Ife indigene who was in the race was consciously rigged out, a claim the University debunked yesterday in its latest release.
