Evangelist Turns King Drums Support For Law Backing Monarch To Be Buried According To Religious Rites

An Evagelist turns monarch, Oba Adewunmi Adeniji Odutala, the Onibudo of Aiyetoro-Budo, Ogun State, has said he supports law which says kings should be buried according to religious rites,either as a Christian or Muslim .

Speaking at the weekend during his 3rd coronation anniversary,Odutala noted that the law would inspire people to become kings in their community.

He said: “It is a welcome development,it is a dream come through. I am a Christian and an evangelist.So, many of us are core Christians and Muslims who truly believe in God. It would inspire us to vie for traditional leadership.”

The monarch noted that being a king does not mean one should be diabolical,adding that religion was different from tradition.

“This law would make people to agree when their people choose them that they are the next to occupy any vacant traditional throne. We prayed for it and God answered it. Religion is different from tradition. I am a king does not mean I should be diabolical. I may choose to be diabolical,so becoming a king should not force me to be,” he said.

The event, which attracted first class kings and many others, was full of thrills and frills as popular Fuji star Shefiu Alao Adekunle serenaded the audience.
