Outgoing Kogi Chief of Staff, Chief Abdulkareem Moh’d Jamiu Expresses Gratitude to God, Gov. Yahyah Bello, Others

As the tenure of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahya Bello winds down, his outgoing chief of staff, Pharm Abdulkareem Muhammad Jamiu (Asuku) has expresses gratitude to God for hitch-free tenure and also thanked the governor for the rare opportunity given to him to serve the state.

The statement which was made available to Vreporters on Tuesday reads: “My heart is full of gratitude to Allah (SWT), His Most Excellency and the supreme being in whose hands is our souls for His favour, mercy and divine elevation at this tender age of my life. I thank Him most profoundly for the man I have become and all that He has used and still using me to do for humanity. Indeed without Him, I wouldn’t have been where I am today and I am saying …..”verily, Which among His favours can I ever deny?”

“Again Alhamdulillahi Robil- Al-a’meen.

“As my tenure as Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Yahaya Bello (CON) comes to an end, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude and deepest appreciation to our leader and our political mentor, the architect of modern democracy in Kogi State and the leader of the New Direction Administration for giving me the opportunity to serve the good people of Kogi State first, as Director General Protocol and secondly as his Chief of Staff. I am eternally grateful for how he has led me,  held my hands and taught me a lot. Indeed, I am grateful for the growth and learning opportunities under his tutelage and I will eternally remain grateful to him and his entire household for this life time opportunity to showcase my self politically.  He has indeed laid a solid foundation for me to strive and I shall not take that for granted.

“Together, we have faced challenges and celebrated triumphs, always striving for the betterment of our great state. Without doubt, the unwavering support of the entire good people of Kogi State, as well as the encouragement and resilience of my leader, Governor Yahaya Bello  CON has been the driving force behind my hardwork and thus our collective achievements.

“I am thankful for the wonderful opportunity to be part of the New Direction Team. Thank you all for being active and effective team players, it made my journey a memorable one. I shall not forget any of you and I pray to Almighty Allah to continue to be our strength and guide in our future endeavors.

“To my immediate family, wives, children and my siblings: how can I ever be able to express my appreciation for your sacrifice, patience and understanding all through my stewardship in the service of our dear state. They have been the backbone behind my strength, dedication and commitment and I want to say a very big thank you for  their unwavering love and support every day from 2016 till date.

“History will never be kind to me if I fail to mention the man that offered me an opportunity, enablement and financial capacity at the age of 29 in the year 2013. I am talking of no one else  but my late Boss and the then Rector of Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, in the person of AMB. Joshua Enun Okpo of blessed memory, who died on December 8th, 2015. He was a trailblazer, a rare gem and a humanist per Excellence. A Cross-riverian who never discriminated amongst men, be it on the ground of religion tribe and or ethnicity.

“As we all know, political exhibition is a function of blowing your trumpet and If not for his impact in my life, I wouldn’t have been able to play my little role in supporting and promoting the gubernatorial aspiration of GYB, then AYB in the 2015. Hence upon  his demise, his family have since become mine and his children my siblings and I will forever remain grateful to him till we meet to part no more. To this end I say “Sir, your bumper boy as you fondly called me then is ever loyal to you even while you are no more”

“To my numerous groups, carrying out their assignments with all their heart and might, please accept my heartfelt appreciations. Thank you for all the times you showed up for me. It’s not easy to take time out of your busy schedules to sacrifice for another person.

“We all have indeed rendered a huge sacrifice collectively towards making our dear state a better place for us all. Thus, I am saying a very big thank  you to you all.

“I couldn’t leave without a heartfelt appreciation to my fantastic team, “tag team COS for the actualization of GYB to PYB then” with whom I travelled the length and breadth of Nigeria. Their energy, hard work, enthusiasm, stance and commitment to excellence was and still is a constant push to do more. I didn’t work nor walk alone, your support boosts me every waking day, hence, my heartfelt gratitude to each and everyone of you!

“To my friends, political associates, colleagues and well-wishers who sent messages and best wishes, I am humbled by your kind words and prayers, I do not take any of them for granted.

“As I step down from this role, I am confident that Kogi State will continue to prosper under the capable leadership of my brother and confidant, the Governor Elect, His Excellency, Ahmed Usman Ododo and with the continued support of our dear citizens of Kogi state both at home and in diaspora.

“Indeed, I came, I served and I learnt great lessons well enough to propel me to any length the almighty Allah may wish for me to reach in this journey of life.

“Thank you, Thank you, Thank you and God bless you all and may Allah (SWT) reward you all abundantly. (Ameen Ameen Ameen). “
