Man Arrested in Jigawa For Inserting Scissors, Spoon Into 8-year-old Girl Private Part

Operatives of Jigawa State Police Command have arrested a 32-year-old man, Bashir Umar for inserting a pair of scissors into the genitals of an eight-year-old girl in Dutse LGA of Jigawa State.

The state’s police spokesman, DSP Lawan Shi’isu Adam, said that the victim was lured into a restroom at a table water company where Umar inserted a pair of scissors and a spoon into her private parts, causing severe injuries and rendering her unconscious.

He said that the man repeatedly abused the child, threatening to kill her and her parents if she spoke out.

He added that the suspect would be charged to court once the investigation into the crime is concluded by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
