Union leaders of the state owned polytechnic had on Friday met with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over the the age-long challenges facing them and the institution.
The student leaders who were led by the SUG President, Oba Abdulazeez thanked the Governor for his giant strides since he assumed office particularly on education. The SUG President presented and also submitted their historic documented complains ranging from tuition hike, lack of hostel accommodations, unaccredited courses, expulsion of student leaders and students on trumped-up charges among others.
AbdulRazaq who was very delighted to meet with the student leaders assured them that he will look into their several complains with the aim of finding practicable long lasting solutions to their age-long complains. He promised them needed government support to actualize their latent potentials as his administration is determined to make quality education affordable and accessible in the state in order to safeguard jealously the future of the young generations.
The Governor urged them to come up with ideas and innovation that will be helpful to the state as the government is ready to collaborate with innovative students. He beseeched them to shun drug abuse, be law abiding and think about doing more for the state and the nation at large.
